Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Rigger.
Key responsibilities:
Participate in the planning and preparation of lifting activities.

- Carry out pre and post use checks on lifting equipment to ensure that it is safe to use, undamaged, registered and in date.
- Safely carry out lifting activities in accordance with the relevant Safe Systems of Work using recognised best practice, applicable trade and Company standards.
- Carry out Point of Work Lifting Assessments and Behavioural Safety Observations.
- Ensure that workplaces remain clean and tidy before, during and after work tasks.
- Immediately report any unplanned events, defects, damage, safety hazards or other problems to the Lifting Supervisor.
- Carry out other task/duties, commensurate with the Role Holder’s competency, as directed by the Lifting Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experienced required:
- BPSS
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- CTC Clearance required
- Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship with appropriate Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) Slinger/Signaller A40 (or NVQ equivalent).
