Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a CNC Machinist on a long term contract assignment.

Rate:                   £15.43p/hr PAYE – £20.84/hr UMB 
Location:             Plymouth
Duration:             6 months +

Responsibilities:

• Excellent attitude towards Health & Safety and good working practice
• Be flexible to variable work patterns
• Ability to work to fine tolerances (imperial & metric measurements)
• Use appropriate measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres)
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Qualifications and Experienced required:  

• Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Programming and operation of CNC multi axis turning centres.
• Experience of one or more of the following CNC controls – Siemens and or Mazak.
• Experience of working within an engineering environment.
