We are supporting a leading Audio Visual and collaboration technology business in their search for an experienced Technical Installation Engineer to join their expanding AV Delivery team.

This is a hands-on position for an experienced AV Engineer who enjoys taking technical ownership of installations and working directly with customers. The Role: As Technical Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• AV Installation – Installing, configuring and testing professional Audio Visual and Video Conferencing systems across customer sites.
• System Configuration – Carrying out pre-site staging, configuration and testing to ensure systems are ready for successful deployment.
• Commissioning & Handover – Commissioning completed AV systems, resolving technical issues and supporting successful customer handover.
• Technical Design Support – Reviewing technical solution designs and providing practical advice to ensure proposed systems can be successfully implemented.
• AV & IP Networks – Planning AV and IP network requirements and working with customers to ensure IT protocols and network security policies are followed.
• Hands-On Installation – Taking an active role across all onsite installation activities, including first and second fix work where required.
• Cabling & Termination – Ensuring cabling and equipment is terminated, connected, labelled and installed neatly to the required technical standards.
• Technical Troubleshooting – Identifying developing technical problems and taking appropriate corrective action to keep installations on track.
• Technical Documentation – Interpreting, producing and updating technical documentation to ensure installations are completed accurately.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience installing professional AV equipment.
• At least 12 months’ dedicated experience setting up and configuring AV equipment.
• Strong practical knowledge of AV installation, configuration and commissioning.
• Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience working independently on customer sites and resolving technical problems.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

• CTS qualification.
• Strong understanding of AV over IP and associated networking.
• Experience working across a range of Video Conferencing and Collaboration technologies.
• Experience delivering technically complex AV installations within corporate or enterprise environments.
