Software / DevSecOps Engineer – Whiteley, Hampshire – Outside IR35 – 3 to 6 Month Contract – Hybrid – Rate DOE
A technology business is looking to appoint a Software / DevSecOps Engineer to support a medical device cybersecurity and regulatory compliance programme.
This is a hands on delivery role working alongside software developers and cybersecurity specialists to implement security improvements directly within software products rather than simply providing advisory support.
The work will include:
– Windows 11 security hardening
– PowerShell scripting and automation
– Application security tooling
– Vulnerability and CVE remediation
– Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) activities
– CI/CD security implementation
– Security focused technical documentation
– Supporting secure software development practices
Candidates should have a strong software engineering or DevSecOps background with practical experience implementing security controls within software products.
Particularly relevant experience includes:
– SAST and SCA tooling
– CVE and vulnerability remediation
– Windows security configuration and hardening
– Secure software development practices
– CI/CD security and automation
Previous medical device experience would be highly beneficial, although candidates from other regulated or safety critical industries will also be considered.
This is an initial 3 to 6 month contract, expected to be nearer 6 months, operating outside IR35. Day rates will be discussed individually based on experience.
The role is based in Whiteley, Hampshire, with flexible hybrid working and weekly onsite attendance required.
