Site Manager – Derby – £46,000-£48,000 + Private Healthcare & Benefits – Permanent – Hybrid
 
A specialist manufacturing improvement consultancy is looking to appoint a Site Manager to lead its on-site engineering support team at a major manufacturing facility in Derby.
 
This is a leadership role overseeing the consultancy’s on-site engineering and tooling support function, managing a small team while driving operational performance, customer engagement, KPI delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while leading day-to-day operations and identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing performance.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing an on-site engineering support team
• Driving operational performance and KPI delivery
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Managing engineering, tooling, and production support activities
• Ensuring efficient day-to-day site operations

 
Candidates should have experience in:

• Manufacturing or engineering leadership
• Aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, heavy engineering, or other technical manufacturing environments
• Tooling, machining, cutting tools, or production operations
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Leading teams within customer-facing operational environments

 
This is a permanent role based in Derby, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.
Package includes:

• Starting salary of £46,000 per annum
• Increase to £48,000 following successful completion of probation
