ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £18.50 per hour + Overtime + Benefits
Shift: Permanent PM Shift – 2:30pm to 11:45pm
We are supporting a leading commercial laundry operation in their search for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with an electrical bias to play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role: As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Reactive & Preventative Maintenance – Carrying out breakdown repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and diagnostic fault finding across production equipment.
- Electrical Fault Finding – Identifying and resolving electrical faults to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
- Equipment Installation & Commissioning – Supporting the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of engineering equipment and systems.
- Continuous Improvement – Identifying opportunities to optimise equipment performance, processes and engineering practices.
- Engineering Collaboration – Working closely with production, quality and management teams to support operational objectives.
- Testing & Validation – Conducting testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure equipment complies with safety and operational standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Ensuring all engineering activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Technical Development – Keeping up to date with engineering best practice, emerging technologies and industry standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or similar engineering role.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A recognised engineering qualification (BEng, MEng or equivalent).
