Techniche Global is supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing business in appointing a new Mechanical Workshop Technician based in Saltash.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist company that designs and builds bespoke manufacturing machinery used in the production of advanced composite materials.

The role will be focused on the build, assembly and manufacture of highly engineered machinery within a workshop environment.

Working as part of an assembly team, you will be involved in electro-mechanical builds, consistently assembling machines and equipment to the correct specifications and quality standards.

Key requirements:

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Basic electrical or wiring knowledge.
• Experience working within a workshop, machinery build, installation, or servicing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safe working practices.

Working hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm

There is some flexibility around start and finish times to accommodate school runs and personal commitments.

Salary:
£30,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
