Location:             Speke (Liverpool)- hybrid (3 days onsite Mon- Wed)

Key responsibilities:
  
Infrastructure Automation & Management:
• Define, provision and manage infrastructure using IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)
• Manage hybrid cloud and on-prem environments
• Support Windows Server, Linux systems and networking
• Oversee lifecycle management including patching, storage and networking

CI/CD, Deployments & Release Engineering:
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)
• Implement deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling)
• Manage database deployments and schema migrations
• Ensure build reliability and pipeline monitoring

Observability, Monitoring & Alerting:
• Implement full-stack observability (Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
• Automate incident management workflows
• Build dashboards and reporting

Security & Vulnerability Management:
• Maintain cloud security posture (GuardDuty, Security Hub, etc.)
• Integrate DevSecOps tooling into pipelines

Reliability, Cost & Performance:
• Implement SRE practices (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
• Capacity planning and performance testing
• Cost optimisation across infrastructure

AI-Driven Operations:
• Apply AI for monitoring, optimisation and automation

Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work across teams and maintain documentation and runbooks
  
Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure roles
  • Strong AWS experience (EC2, RDS, ECS, S3, etc.)
  • Experience with Terraform / CloudFormation
  • Kubernetes / Docker experience
  • Linux administration and networking fundamentals
  • Strong Python and Bash scripting
  • CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
  • Security tooling and compliance awareness
  • Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog)
  • Understanding of SRE principles
