Product Development Manager – Medical Devices

Salary: up to £60k + benefits

We are supporting a well-established healthcare manufacturing business in their search for a Product Development Manager to lead the development and enhancement of medical packaging products.

This is a key leadership role, working cross-functionally to deliver new product development projects from concept through to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory standards, and business objectives.

The Role:

• Lead and develop the Product Development team
• Drive new product development and product improvement projects
• Build and manage business cases, specifications, and project plans
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements
• Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver on time and within budget
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project progress
• Embed the Voice of the Customer (VOC) into product development
• Support commercial strategy and customer engagement activities

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in medical devices or high-volume manufacturing
• Proven track record in product development and team leadership
• Technical background (e.g. engineering, materials, chemistry)
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (ISO 13485 desirable)
• Commercial awareness with the ability to support sales and marketing activities
