Techniche Global are supporting a leading UK manufacturer of X-ray scanning and metal-detection security equipment with the appointment of a Field Service Engineer to join their growing Service & Support team.

UK-Wide – office based in Cambridge 
£38,000 Starting Salary | £50,000+ OTE
Company Vehicle or £600 Car Allowance | Overseas Travel Allowances
Mon–Thu: 8:30–17:00 & Fri: 8:30–14:00

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role involving installation, commissioning, diagnostics and maintenance of high-value security screening systems across sensitive UK sites, with occasional international travel.

What You’ll Do

• Install, commission and service X-ray security equipment across UK customer locations
• Diagnose faults on electromechanical, imaging and control systems
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs
• Provide technical support, complete service documentation and represent the business professionally
• Support overseas installations and earn additional allowances

What You’ll Need

• Experience servicing X-ray equipment OR other complex technical machinery:
  – Industrial imaging, NDT, optical/laser, RF systems, automation, CNC machinery, medical devices, etc.
• Strong electromechanical fault-finding capability
• Clean UK driving licence
• Must meet BPSS requirements, including 5 years of UK work history (SC clearance advantageous)
