Techniche Global are supporting a leading industrial manufacturer in the search for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring materials, logistics and production planning work seamlessly together to deliver high-quality finished products on time.
The Role: As Supply Chain Manager, you will lead all supply chain activity across procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management. You’ll ensure raw materials such as pulp, chemicals, and packaging are sourced effectively, delivered on time and aligned with production requirements.
You’ll also work closely with operations, maintenance and quality teams to support continuous manufacturing, while driving improvements across processes, systems and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver supply chain strategies
- Manage procurement of raw materials including pulp, chemicals and production inputs
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, transport, warehousing and distribution
- Align material availability with production schedules across multiple departments
- Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts and ensure cost efficiency
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to reduce waste and prevent downtime
- Use ERP systems for material tracking, inventory accuracy and shipment visibility
- Analyse supply chain data to improve forecasting and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety and industry regulations
- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team
About You
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s beneficial)
- 5+ years’ supply chain experience in manufacturing or industrial operations – paper/pulp industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of raw material sourcing, production planning, and mill logistics
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and analytics tools
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of sustainability, compliance and regulatory requirements
