Techniche Global are supporting a well-established packaging manufacturer to appoint a Maintenance Engineer. You’ll work on a wide range of equipment, taking ownership of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  
Salary:                 £38-42k per annum + benefits
Location:             Castleford, West Yorkshire- 100% onsite
Duration:             perm, full time
Schedule:            Monday to Friday (Rotating 2pm–10pm & 10pm–6am)
Overtime:           Paid at time and a half)
  
Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
• Replace motors, bearings, couplings, and inverter drives
• Strip and rebuild pneumatic diaphragm pumps (incl. ball kits)
• Work closely with OEMs and third-party engineers for deeper diagnostics
• Record maintenance activity clearly and accurately
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices

  
Desired Qualifications/ Experience

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, print or packaging environment
• Strong hands-on fault-finding skills (mechanical and electrical)
• Self-sufficient and confident responding to breakdowns and carrying out preventative work
• Familiarity with pumps, motors, inverter drives, and control panels
• Recognised engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
• 17th Edition (or newer) electrical qualification preferred
