Techniche Global are supporting a specialist print production manufacturer in Dagenham with the appointment of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical bias) to join their on-site engineering team.
This role focuses heavily on mechanical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding across high-speed printing and finishing machinery, while still requiring good electrical awareness.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver PPM and mechanical maintenance across production machinery
- Diagnose and repair faults on print/finishing equipment (motors, belts, pulleys, bearings, shafts, sensors, rollers etc.)
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production uptime high
- Support machine improvements, upgrades and reliability engineering
- Manage spare parts, liaise with contractors/suppliers and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Ensure safe working practices and adherence to HSE standards
What You’ll Need
- Strong mechanical engineering background with multi-skilled capability
- Mechanical qualifications (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, City & Guilds or similar)
- Confident mechanical fault-finding & strip/repair skills in a fast-paced environment
- Basic electrical understanding (advantageous)
- Print industry or high-speed production experience is a plus, not essential
