Senior Site installation and Commissioning Engineer – Zero-Carbon Heat Systems
Location: Fareham HQ with UK-wide site travel
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are supporting an innovative clean technology company developing zero-carbon heat storage systems in their search for a Site installation and Commissioning Engineer. You will be assisting in the delivery of complex engineering projects at on-site installation and commissioning phases.
The Role:
As a Senior Site installation and Commissioning Engineer, you will:
- Manage construction of large mechanical structures with assist of cranes, welding activities, mechanical and electrical fitting, and organisation of final assembly and commissioning of complete system.
- Health and Safety on all sites and CDM requirements on larger projects/sites
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and contractors.
- Ensure commissioning and handover plans are complete and robust for each project.
- Support the delivery of large mechanical stores (Base, Media and covers)
- Oversee the welding operations
- Mechanical assembly of pipework, electrical cables, MODBUS, conduit
- Oversee regulatory requirements.
- Undertake on-site inspections, surveys, and witness testing to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with industrial customer site installations.
- Extensive technical expertise in installations and commissioning, with sound judgment in complex scenarios.
- Ability to work remotely at customer sites across UK and Europe.
- Oversee the welding operations (not welding).
- Initial mechanical assembly of pipework, electrical cables, MODBUS, ethernet, conduit.
- Knowledge and experience of Site management (e.g. SMS TS).
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong technical report documentation, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve defects and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- Competence in reviewing documents such as O&M manuals, RAMS, commissioning plans, and customer acceptance testing.
