Techniche Global is supporting an international Oil & Gas engineering company in appointing a Stores / Warehouse / Material Handling individual to join their warehouse operation based in Gloucester.

This role will focus on supporting warehouse and materials operations, including goods receiving, stock control, picking, packing, issuing materials, inventory checks and maintaining accurate warehouse records. The position will also support wider materials management activities, including kitting, Kanban replenishment and resolving local inventory issues.

12-Month Contractor Role
Location: Gloucester GL10 3EZ
Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities of the Stores Warehouse Materials (Storekeeper):

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse and goods shipping/receiving areas.
  • Comply with all applicable company policies, including personnel and QHSE requirements.
  • Perform inspection, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal, and cycle counting of inventory items.
  • Accept supplier deliveries and verify that received items are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods in a timely manner.
  • Ensure outgoing inventory items are correctly packed and issued with accurate and complete documentation.
  • Improve warehouse efficiency and safety by optimising bin locations.
  • Support inventory cycle counting and periodic physical stock counts.
  • Carry out tasks associated with kitting, Kanban point-of-use replenishment, and other materials management initiatives as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues as requested by the Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with established warehouse policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Operate a forklift or other material handling equipment following completion of training and certification.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
