Techniche Global are supporting a leading electrical infrastructure company in the appointment of a Senior Internal Auditor to join their project delivery team.

Rate:
£47–£52 per hour Umbrella

This is an opportunity for an experienced auditor to take ownership of an established internal audit programme, supporting quality assurance and operational excellence across complex electrical infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner, working closely with project managers, site teams and senior stakeholders to ensure quality management processes add genuine value to project delivery. Rather than focusing solely on compliance, the role aims to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, risk reduction and operational efficiency.

Working autonomously, the Senior Internal Auditor will conduct internal audits across both office and site-based operations, ensuring that quality management systems remain fully aligned with ISO 9001 requirements and are consistently applied throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the internal audit programme across operational and project activities.
  • Conduct ISO 9001 internal audits within electrical infrastructure and turnkey project environments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains and risk reduction.
  • Produce clear, concise and value-focused audit reports.
  • Support project teams and operational stakeholders in resolving compliance challenges.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure quality management practices are consistently implemented across both office and site activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for ISO 9001 and quality management processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quality Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant auditing experience within construction, engineering, energy or turnkey project environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Experience working with project managers, site teams and senior leadership.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within electrical infrastructure, utilities or major project environments.
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Experience of integrated management systems.
  • Background in operational improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
