Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Lead – Plymouth – Permanent – Manufacturing Environment – Salary DOE + Benefits
A manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Lead to support its site operations in Plymouth.
This is a hands-on, factory-based role focused on driving continuous improvement across health, safety, and environmental performance within a busy manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams and site management to improve compliance, strengthen HSE culture, support audits and investigations, and lead practical improvement initiatives across the facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving HSE compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Conducting risk assessments and promoting safe working practices
- Supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Working closely with operational and management teams across site
- Promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture
Candidates should have:
- Previous experience within an HSE Coordinator, Advisor, or Lead role
- Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments
- NEBOSH qualification and IOSH membership
This is a permanent, site-based position in Plymouth, working 39 hours per week:
- Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:30
- Friday: 07:30-12:30
