Techniche Global are supporting a leading defence and engineering organisation with the appointment of an experienced Learning & Development Business Partner to support their Marine division based in Rosyth.

Type: initial 6-month contract (possible extension) hybrid working available
Location: Rosyth
Salary: £24.57 – £33.22 PAYE + holiday accrual or £32 – £45 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35)

This role will focus on partnering with senior stakeholders to drive learning strategy, build workforce capability, and deliver impactful development solutions aligned to operational and business objectives.

The Role You will work closely with business leaders and operational teams to identify capability gaps, develop learning strategies, and deliver practical L&D solutions across a complex engineering environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with stakeholders to identify learning needs and workforce capability gaps
• Designing and delivering blended learning solutions, including 70/20/10 approaches
• Supporting stakeholder engagement across multiple business functions
• Evaluating learning effectiveness and driving continuous improvement
• Managing training plans, reporting, and budgets

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an L&D Business Partner or similar role
• Experience working within technical, engineering, manufacturing, or operational environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience designing and implementing blended learning solutions
• Ability to obtain BPSS clearance, progressing to SC clearance once in post
