Techniche are supporting a leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a

Quality Assurance professional. This assignment will be working within the team that supports both new product development and existing product performance for The Company’s aftermarket parts and accessories. The role has a focus on Quality Assurance, working with the design and development team on new parts, as well as supporting live market products with quality feedback.

  
Pay Rate:              £27.94p/hour PAYE + holiday pay and pension pay
Location:              Cranfield, Bedfordshire – hybrid (3 days working in the office; 2 days WFH)
Duration:             12 months initially
Requirements:    LRTW ; experience within automotive sector, Valid UK driving licence is a MUST.
  
For this role, The Company are seeking Quality Assurance experience from within the Automotive sector. They may also consider experience with similar type engineering applications such as aerospace, aeronautical parts. Specialised knowledge in aftermarket parts, accessories and products would be advantageous.
  
Key Responsibilities include:

  • ü Product issue monitoring & countermeasures development / proposals.
  • ü Maintain `New Product Quality Process’ (NPQP) and support NPQP compliance with suppliers.
  • ü Ensure Accessories & Parts development is conducted in accordance with The Company’s development standards of quality.
  • ü Evaluate suppliers & contribute to an up-to-date supplier panel, perform quality audits at suppliers based on After Sales product plan.
  • ü Ensure supplier management and part quality level via PPAP validation and PSW (Parts submission Warrant) Sign-off.
  • ü Validate and follow up process change and production site transfers.
  • ü Tracking of monthly issues / countermeasures report.
  • ü Support accessories information exchange with other regions.
  • ü Liaise and coordinate activities with Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS).

  
The contractor will be measured against the following key outputs:

  • ü Successful completion of Quality Targets at all required development stages.
  • ü Monitoring and reporting on field performance of accessory parts.
  • ü Audit internal and external (supplier) process and controls.
