Techniche Global are supporting a specialist Plastic Injection Moulding manufacturer to appoint a Junior Project Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in engineering while working on challenging projects in the manufacturing sector.
The successful candidate will support the analysis and development of design concepts, detailed tooling design, and project delivery. A key part of this role is working closely with toolmakers, supporting tooling manufacture, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  
Salary:                The client has not defined fixed salary ranges or this role. Instead they are interested in reviewing candidates who apply based on their individual salary expectations, ideally aligned with their current level of compensation.
Location:            Petersfield- 100% onsite with some occasional travel
Duration:           Permanent, Full-time
Requirements:  UK driving license, LRTW,  3 years of Plastics injection molding exp
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of design concepts, detailed tooling design, and tooling pack layouts.
  • Assist toolmakers during tool manufacture and post-manufacture processes.
  • Develop and present engineering design solutions in line with customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Maintain and track project documentation, schedules, and resources.
  • Report on project progress, costs, and performance.
  • Release and receive project data to and from customers.
  • Ensure company QA processes are followed at all times.
  • Contribute to customer reviews and project meetings as required.

  
Skills & Experience Required

  • Knowledge of injection mould tooling (essential).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, ideally with exposure to tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays and occasional overseas travel.
  • Full, clean driving licence and valid passport required.
