Multi-Skilled Maintenance Electrical Engineer

Techniche Global are supporting a leading Print Production Manufacturer with the recruitment of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias).
Working closely with another engineer and reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring production machinery operates at peak performance through planned preventative maintenance and fast response to breakdowns.
�� Location: Dagenham, Essex
�� Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE + Overtime (x1.5 basic rate)
�� Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 – 19:00 (occasional out-of-hours/weekend support)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on printing and finishing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly.
- Replace and repair common parts (motors, belts, sensors, pulleys, shafts).
- Manage spares stock and liaise with suppliers/contractors.
- Keep accurate service/repair records and update maintenance systems.
- Support staff with training on machine best practices and recurring fixes.
About you:
- Experienced in working with large, heavy industrial machinery in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong electrical background with sound mechanical skills.
- Qualified through apprenticeship or equivalent (City & Guilds, HNC, ONC, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition).
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Print industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
