Techniche Global  are seeking a number of multi-skilled operatives to support engineering and maintenance tasks on board ships docked at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth for our defence contractor 
  
Day-to-day, you’ll be assisting to maintain electrical and mechanical systems onboard vessels in deep maintenance periods and contributing to the regeneration of systems and equipment to full operational condition ready for tests and trials by:

• Conducting maintenance of dedicated mechanical and electrical systems
• Reporting on system equipment and condition to ensure stakeholder awareness for future operation
• Rectifying defect of equipment

  
Babcock are after either Electrical or Mechanical Technicians qualified to Level 2/3 NVQ/C&G or similar standards.
  
The role is available on an initial 6 month contract basis offering a pay rate of £17.88-£21.57 p/h PAYE (dependant on experience). Non-locals (80 miles+ from Devonport, PL1) will also receive an additional £5/hour for travel and accommodation allowance (£4/hour between 36-80 miles) There is typically excellent prospects for the role to extend beyond the initial contract term.
