We are working  one of the largest food manufacturing companies in the UK, as they seek an Occupation Health Advisor at their Nottingham. 

Occupational Health Advisor – Pizza Factory, Nottingham

• Working Hours / Shift Patterns – 40 hours / Monday to Friday (8am – 5pm)
• Salary – £48,500
• For this role, the successful candidate must be a registered nurse, ideally with OH experience.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsibility for the full OH remit ensuring on site colleagues are fit to work and handle food both at the stage of joining the business and also via regular health surveillance checks throughout their employment.
• Ensure NMC compliance with registration requirements and the Code of conduct for all nurses.
• Ensure up to date with required training to perform role e.g. spirometry audiometry etc
• Liaise  with site HR on matters of recruitment and ensure fitness to work with regards health and safety risk and food hygiene
• Act as an advisor working with health and safety on all matters relating to the safe daily function and operation of factory premises and in particular, regarding COSHH Moving and handling and Skin exposure Noise exposure etc. Assist in the management of sickness absence and workplace adjustments phased return and taking in account the Equality Act
• Act as an advisor on matters of mental health and give support and Guidance to those who need help and duly refer accordingly.
• Actively promote wellbeing at site as part of the OH team
• Develop the OH service according to the OH framework
• Be reasonably conversant on all matters of Health and safety law and guidance and in particular COSHH Manual Handling VDU FLT etc.
• Expected to be able to liaise with GP’s and specialists in all fields for referrals and reports and relate this to future work related expectations.
• Keep confidential documents and information relating to employees strictly confidential and abide by the code of conduct on record keeping.
• Work with the site to achieve no non conformances on the Health and Safety Audit
