Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint an
Instrument Cluster Principal Engineer
Key responsibilities:
- Development of Instrument Cluster, Head-Up Displays and Displays to meet Nissan Design and Test standards.
- Close management of suppliers to ensure the parts under development are delivered in line with program requirements for cost, quality and timing.
- Issue and maintain physical part BOM and configuration data for Nissan manufacturing plant.
- Prepare functional specifications through discussion with system owners, customer orientated engineering, styling and trim engineers.
- Present part development status at regular internal Design Reviews.
- Review and approve part drawings submitted by suppliers.
- Manage in-house and supplier validation of the parts.
- Resolve technical issues with test departments and suppliers.
- Support vehicle development builds at Nissan manufacturing plants. Investigate, contain and resolve issues as they arise.
- Conduct vehicle life cycle cost reduction idea generation and implementation.
- Lead vehicle life cycle warranty investigations and countermeasure implementations.
Qualifications and Experienced required:
- Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Understanding of basic electrical theory.
- Experience developing HMI based parts.
- Familiar with automotive electrical architecture.
- Exposure to CAN communication (1 year minimum).
- Familiar with software development V cycle (1 year minimum).
- Familiar with software validation methods.
