Techniche Global are supporting leading electronics manufacturer in Andover, Hampshire to appoint a project Manager for their Power Electronics department.
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 annual + company benefits
Type: permanent, Monday to Friday, site-based role in Andover
As Project Manager, you will be managing key client projects; overseeing all aspects of the projects and liaising directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the agreed scope and budget.
PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify risks, lead solution development, and ensure implementation and reporting.
- Manage scope, control costs, and liaise with internal departments.
- Organize and chair project/team meetings with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Programme Manager to maintain resource plans for multi-discipline projects.
- Plan product testing and verification activities, ensuring cost, timing, and quality.
- Drive quality and optimize project management practices to meet targets and standards.
- Provide technical support to the Power Electronics team, customers, and supply chain.
- Foster skill development through training and education.
- Work with the Engineering Manager to assign tasks based on team strengths.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent as a minimum in mechanical, electrical or production engineering or equivalent (2:1 or higher is preferred)
- Proven working experience in Project Management
- Expert in planning and prioritising project resources
- Good knowledge of understanding engineering principals, detail drawings and schematics
- Experience of engineering manufacturing processes and selection to meet cost and delivery targets
- Knowledge of process development using ‘Design of Experiment,’ FMEAs, 8D and problem-solving techniques and implementing corrective actions
- Representing Power Electronics in maintaining quality standards ISO9001, IATF16949 and to drive continual improvement (familiarity of IPC would also be advantageous)
