Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Project Planner. This role is based within the Mission Systems business area that supports a wide range of exciting design, manufacture and Equipment support projects, and works with a number of key clients both domestically and internationally.
Rate: £55-65p/hr UMB (inside IR35)
Location: Bristol- hybrid
Duration: 12 months initially
Requirements: sole UK nationals; eligible for SC Clearance
About the Role:
As a Project Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. At this career level a Project Panner is responsible for leading the project team to develop and successfully delivery of a detailed integrated schedule to time, quality and cost, achieving Customer satisfaction and internal targets, creating baselines and having excellent knowledge or baseline management.
At this level the expectation is to drive the project team to achieve 100% on time delivery, creating scenario plans & analysing variations to the baseline using earned value techniques (EVM) & variation reporting all against the baseline.
You will utilise your strong communication, relationship building and team playing capability to ensure the integrated schedule is reflective of all contract work and deliverables, reflects current status / progress, is used to drive focused and effective delivery and supports clear performance measuring. Most importantly, your motivation, drive and passion for managing and delivering successful project outcomes will win the hearts and minds of customers and colleagues alike.
You will work with various stakeholders including Project Managers, Control Account Managers, Project Controllers, customers and wider project stakeholders. You will also sit within our Planning Discipline, reporting to the Project Planning Discipline Leader who will support future development.
Desired Experience
- Proficient in the use of project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and planning skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Computer literate and comfortable with IT systems.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, environment and/or industry
- Experience creating, maintaining and / or working in accordance with related Governance artefacts (i.e. Project Management Plans, Schedule Management Plans etc).
- Experience of supporting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis
