Techniche Global are working with automotive manufacturer  at their Technical Research & Development facility in Cranfield just outside of Milton Keynes. Supporting them with appointing a Materials, Parts & Inventory Stores person.
  
This role will be working within the central Stores and Inventory area at the Cranfield R&D facility.
  
The role will involve supporting all internal staff with finding, sourcing, obtaining parts & items from the inventory. It will also involve inspecting parts and goods that arrive on site, checking them for quality, cataloging them and updating relevant inventory systems. Additionally, there are various other duties, such as organizing the stores area, supporting the transportation and movement of parts and inventory items around the facility etc.
  
Understanding of how to use handheld measuring tool (verniers, vernier calipers, feeler gauges etc.) accurately would be desirable
  
Knowledge of automotive parts/spares is essential (this could be from a spare parts perspective, or from a hands on vehicle technician/mechanic role). Experience of working in a demanding stock room, warehouse, stores, inventory role is essential. Forklift licence would be beneficial, but is not essential.
  
This role is long term on 12 month renewable contracts. Rates are £17.87 per hour. This is an annual equivalent of £36,240. If opting out of holiday pay the rate increases to £20.71 per hour (annual equivalent of circa £41-42,000 per annum)
  
This role is based on site at Cranfield 5 days per week. There is also a half day on a Friday (1.20pm finish).
