Techniche Global are supporting an innovative start up in the Biotechnology sector, as they seek to appoint a Technical Sales/Business Development Manager. In this role, you will coordinate with C-Suite leadership, helping tailor customer solutions to help them to reduce their environmental impact and generate new revenue streams.

Our client plan, design and build modular insect farms across the world, from concept through to completion and you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable food by identifying, developing and closing insect-factory projects.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from generating and qualifying leads to developing propositions, engaging stakeholders and closing/contracting projects.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential projects, ensuring a consultative approach to understanding their current and future business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to our customers, sometimes challenging their assumptions.
  • Generate reports and analysis on pipeline and customers using sales CRM and forecasting and sales admin tools.
  • Interface with the engineering and entomology teams to develop tailored solutions for customer projects.

  
Key skills:

  • You’ll have a consultative, collaborative and curious approach to understanding the drivers of each customer and are driven to help them navigate to a solution.
  • With 5+ years technical sales experience, including clear examples of where you’ve delivered complex B2B capex projects ideally in a multi-stakeholder model.
  • You’re detail driven, action-oriented and have a high-bar for execution, even when working at pace.
  • You’re adept at navigating the challenges that naturally arise in complex capex projects and enjoy the challenge of collaborative problem-solving with a team.
  • Industry experience in one of the following sectors will help you stand out; insect industry, waste management, animal feed or aquaculture, pet food or vertical farming, food production.

The role will offer an excellent salary and benefits package, circa £60,000 base salary plus achievable performance related OTE of £90,000.

You will be required at their London Bridge office on a Hybrid basis, including occasional travel to customer sites.
