Techniche Global are supporting a large manufacturer, based in Croydon, to appoint an experienced Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Professional.

Our client specialize in the production of foam products for various industries, including construction, packaging, mattresses, and sports shoes. The role is responsible for the ongoing support and development of the Operations team and manufacturing plant. It is pivotal in helping shape the future of the Manufacturing and Dispatch operation of the entire production site. Strategically, the position will help deliver the company’s strategic goals and future factory vision.

Salary:                   Up to £75k + bonus
Location:              Croydon – working onsite
  
Role Responsibilities for the Continuous Improvement Manager include:

  • Develop strategies: Create and implement strategies to improve processes, products, and personnel.
  • Analyse processes: Conduct process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead projects: Manage projects to implement changes and improve performance.
  • Communicate: Work with stakeholders, such as clients, partners, and vendors, to communicate and support improvements.
  • Facilitate implementation: Use project management and governance to ensure changes are implemented effectively.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualification in a continuous improvement methodology
  • A working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques would be beneficial but not mandatory, however this would be expected to be learned when in post.
  • A clear understanding of OHSE leadership though action and attitude, also the duties of a leader for health and safety combined with experience in best practice.
  • Experienced in overseeing improvement projects and Kaizen Events.
  • Experienced with the Lean toolkit such as 5S, TIMWOOD, Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Process Optimisation and Time & Motion studies.
