Supporting an Oxford University Spin-Off in Securing Top Engineering Talent for a New Pilot Plant. Redcar, North East, UK.
At Techniche, we’ve spent nearly a decade helping established manufacturing companies grow their teams with specialised engineering and technology professionals. Our experience spans various sectors, from production skills to advanced engineering roles, we have supported organisations that are pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Recently, we’ve had the opportunity to work with some cutting-edge companies in advanced polymer manufacturing, connecting them with skilled process and chemical engineers to drive their production capabilities. Through this work, we identified new clients in similar spaces who were struggling to find the right technical skills. One new client is an exciting spin-off from Oxford University, backed by new investment to launch a pilot plant in the northeast of England focused on pioneering technology in advanced materials.
After some initial discussions, we were briefed with finding a Chemical Process Engineer who could bring expertise in startup pilot plant operations and advanced metals. To provide the client with a thorough selection of candidate options, we compiled a broad shortlist and supported both the candidates and our client through several rounds of interviews. This involved preparing candidates and facilitating in-depth discussions to ensure the client had the best possible options.
After an extensive eight-week process, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve successfully appointed a Chemical Process Engineer who will begin in the new year, ready to support the launch of the pilot plant.
