Techniche Global are supporting a leading manufacturer of advanced weather monitoring systems and ultrasonic wind sensors, based in Lymington. We are assisting them in appointing an experienced SMT Technician / Team Lead to join their growing team.

SMT Technician / Lead – £25,000 to £28,000 per annum + excellent company benefits 
Location: Lymington, Hampshire
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday – 7:00am to 3:45pm, Friday – 7:00am to 11:30am

This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in SMT, PCB assembly, soldering, and bench electronics work. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assisting the Manufacturing Team Leads in running the production cell to achieve on-time delivery of customer orders and safety stock demand. 
• Day-to-day administration and organisation of the manufacturing cell in terms of people and documentation. 
• Ensure that assembly operatives correctly follow production and safety instructions. 
• Help to train team members in the assemble, test techniques and test data recording 
• Managing first-line absences, probation reviews and other staffing requirements 

Key Requirements:

• Proven background in SMT assembly or operation
• Skilled in PCB work, soldering, and component-level inspection or repair
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous
