We’re supporting a well-established manufacturer of industrial equipment in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team at their Luton-based production facility.
The Role:
This is a hands-on engineering position, focused on maintaining and improving a broad range of machinery and site infrastructure. You’ll play a vital part in supporting daily production operations through both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responsive fault-finding activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance across plant and machinery
- Diagnosing and resolving faults across tools, systems, and infrastructure
- Supporting site safety and reliability through regular inspection and repair
- Collaborating with production teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment lifespan
- Interpreting technical drawings and conducting electrical installations where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Time-served engineer with either an electrical or mechanical background
- Hold IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 (or equivalent qualification)
- Practical experience with machine tools and site systems
- Confident in fault-finding, electrical installation, and reading technical schematics
- A proactive, safety-conscious approach with strong communication skills
