Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a Vehicle Emissions & EV Range Test Technician.

Location: Cranfield, near Milton Keynes
Type: Hybrid (3 days from the office, 2 days from home)
Contract Type: 12-month rolling contract
Rate: £18.01/hour PAYE + holiday and pension accrual, overtime rates at 1.5X basic rate
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Friday

You will be supporting emissions and electric vehicle (EV) range testing:

• Support vehicle emissions and EV range testing
• Operate chassis dynamometer and conduct WLTP and on-road emissions tests
• Set up instrumentation and collect test data
• Analyse emissions results and assist with fault-finding
• Assemble/disassemble vehicle components as needed
• Use diagnostic tools and support equipment calibration

Requirements: 

• Minimum C&G / BTEC L3 would be preferable, ideally in mechanical, Electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field.
• Experience with Emissions / Test Systems such as Horiba or AVL
