Shift Engineer – Bakery Maintenance
 
Are you a hands-on Engineer with a passion for maintenance in a dynamic environment? Our client, a renowned bakery based in Northwich, is looking to appoint a Shift Engineer to support their 24/7 operations, minimizing downtime and enhancing product quality.
 
About the Role:
As a Shift Engineer, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and perform repairs on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive approach, ready to support continuous improvement (CI) projects and maintain essential technical documentation.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
• Support CI projects and ensure accurate technical documentation.
• Ensure 24/7 equipment care in a fast-paced production environment.

 
What We’re Looking For:

• Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship (electrical, mechanical, or multiskilled).
• Knowledge of PLC systems and experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical skills and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.

 
What’s On Offer:

• Salary: £49,038.30 per annum.
• Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (48-hour week with 12-hour shifts).
